S.T.E.A.M Education at M.D School

We adopt STEAM education to prepare and inspire all pupils for a successful and brilliant future. It is not an after-school club or an elective as an add-on to learning. It is a movement in education that helps teachers and pupils understand how the academic disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics impact their world and prepare them for the workforce and marketplace of tomorrow.

Our world is changing, and all educators globally know that while it is not possible to name the jobs and careers the pupils sitting in our classrooms today will be doing as adults, educators agree that the jobs and careers of the future will be STEAM jobs and careers. This is why M.D School is doing STEAM education – to prepare and inspire all the pupils for a successful and brilliant future.

Our pupils learn through experience where they talk and engage in discussions. They learn to solve problems in the course of a continuous process of asking questions, experimenting, designing, creating, and gathering compelling supportive evidence. Our teachers create a learning environment through the implementation of STEAM education using the best practices and strategies, where pupils are given the opportunity to experience, talk, debate, discover, design, create, and build. As a result, our pupils learn to lead the way to innovation, learning today how to achieve a better tomorrow.

We use STEAM education to transform the typical teacher-centred classroom by encouraging a curriculum that is driven by critical thinking, problem-solving, discovery, and exploratory learning and requires pupils to actively engage a situation in order to find its solution.

All our pupils benefit from the STEAM education because it teaches independent innovation and allows pupils to explore greater depths of all subjects by utilising the skills learnt; these skills are going to be required in order for today’s pupils to become tomorrow’s global leaders.
